One person in custody after authorities chase FedEx tractor trailer on I-80
LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A pursuit of a FedEx tractor trailer on I-80 resulted in the driver being taken into custody after being hospitalized. The pursuit began around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday night on westbound I-80, with the Nebraska State Patrol pursuing the semi. Other law enforcement agencies soon joined in, including the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office and Lincoln Police.

Cozad Dance Team Brought Home New Routines and Ribbons
The Cozad high school dance team took on Lincoln July 18 – 21 at the University of Lincoln. in the three-day dance camp, the team attended workshops, learned three routines, and participated in skill evaluations. According to the team's Facebook page, the coaches stated, “This team amazes me with their ability to step out of their comfort zone. We challenged them with camp this year.” The coach's positivity and display of the team's achievements continued, “Each dancer received ribbons for their routines. We are always so proud of them, these kids are multi-sport athletes, philanthropists, and employees who showed up and pushed themselves among next-level dancers. This year will be about growth, game day spirit, and unity as a blended team of experienced and new talent. We left camp with a greater understanding of one another, one All-American, one Pin-It forward, two blue team ribbons, and immense skill depth.”

BANNER COUNTY, Neb. (KNOP) - A Harrisburg man is behind bars after the Nebraska State Patrol said he strangled a woman and shot at her dogs. Troopers arrested 34-year-old Andrew Jochem on Saturday in Harrisburg. He faces assault by strangulation, terroristic threats, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, possession of a firearm while committing a felony and third-degree assault charges.
Jury returns guilty verdict for Lincoln man charged in toddler’s death
LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The Lincoln man accused of killing a 22-month-old boy in 2023 has been found guilty. After nearly two weeks on trial, a jury returned a verdict in the case of 33-year-old Joshua Tackett on Tuesday. The jury found him guilty on two counts, committing child abuse intentionally causing death and distribution of a controlled substance near a school.
