Kearney Police give first public tours of new Bearcat armored vehicle
KEARNEY, Neb. (News Channel Nebraska) - For the first time, the Kearney Police Department is showing off its Bearcat armored vehicle. The Bearcat is custom-built by the company Lenco and has been with Kearney Police for 18 months but Wednesday night was the first time it was on display for the public to peer inside.
Arrest made after fatal parking lot shooting in Southwest Lincoln
LINCOLN Neb. — An arrest has been made following a fatal shooting that occurred in a business parking lot in Southwest Lincoln. On Friday, July 5th, officers were sent to 1550 South Coddington Avenue on a report of gunshots and vehicles fleeing the scene. A 25-year-old Lincoln man was located in the area suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.
