Coeur d'Alene man sentenced to life in prison for sexually abusing four children

COEUR D'ALENE, ID -- A Kootenai County judge has sentenced a Coeur d'Alene man to life in prison plus two concurrent 25-year sentences for sexual abusing children.

According to the Kootenai County Prosecutor's Office, 35-year-old Jullian Sabin assaulted and victimized four children between the ages of 4 and 15 over a 9-year period from 2014 to 2023.

Prosecutors say the abuse occurred nearly daily as Sabin had access to the children while their mother was asleep or at work.

One victim tested positive for a sexually transmitted disease at age 6 and two other victims under the age of 13 were prescribed and given oral contraceptives at Sabin's behest.

The prosecutor's office says two of the victims spoke up in 2019 but recanted their stories after an investigation began.

Then in 2023, the two victims and an additional two victims came forward, and Sabin was indicted by a grand jury.

Sabin admitted to the abuse before a jury trial was set to being.

On Thursday, June 20, Sabin was sentenced to life in prison with parole eligibility after 30 years for lewd conduct with a minor under the sixteen and two 25-year sentences for two counts of sexual abuse of a child under sixteen.
