MCCAMMON — A man was rushed to Portneuf Medical Center on Friday after being run over by his own pickup truck and trailer during an incident in McCammon, authorities said. University of Idaho is developing technology to make housing more affordable nationwide by using Idaho wood waste to make one of the most sustainable building construction materials on the market. They’re combining sawdust and other wood byproducts with bio-based glue to create a medium for 3D-printing buildings and stackable bricks.
Containment of the Bench Lake Fire improves over Saturday
STANLEY, Idaho — On Saturday, the Bench Lake Fire continued to grow to 2,538 acres. The fire is now 13% contained, and 439 personnel are helping to fight it. According to Great Basin Team Four, strategic foresight and the correct complement of firefighting personnel bolstered containment efforts to 13%. The additional hotshot crews and aviation resources assigned to the Bench Lake Fire were critical in securing firelines.

Man arrested in Meridian after pursuit, crash
MERIDIAN, Idaho — A man has been arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail for allegedly trying to flee when police found him nodding off in his car, with illegal drugs visible. The Meridian Police Department (MPD), said 25-year-old Timothy Kinchen accelerated to 90 miles an hour during the pursuit, eventually hitting another car.
