Man charged in fatal DUI crash in Madison County, Illinois
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (First Alert 4) - Prosecutors in Madison County, Illinois, have charged a Bethalto man in a fatal DUI crash in May in Hartford. Israel K. Evans, 24, was charged Friday with aggravated DUI resulting in death and reckless homicide in the death of 24-year-old Jacob S.P. Werner, also of Bethalto, Illinois. Prosecutors are asking he be confined pending trial, according to a Madison County State’s Attorney news release.

Eli Miller-Altamont: Eli put together a strong two-sports season for the Altamont Indians. In basketball, Eli averaged 9.4 points per game, 3.6 rebounds per game and 2.2 assists per game in helping the Indians to another 20-plus win season. In baseball, Eli was a solid contributor with a .287 batting average, .430 on base percentage and 26 RBI. He also had what will most certainly go down as the most famous walk in Altamont baseball history.

Calverton Park Police to dissolve into Florissant
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – It has been confirmed that the Calverton Park Police Department will be dissolving. According to the mayor of Calverton Park, the city does not have enough revenue to support its police department. Officers will be contracted to the City of Florissant.
