Grand Forks Man Facing Federal Gun Charges
(Grand Forks, ND) — A Grand Forks man who’s in custody now faces federal gun charges. Police say Raymond Lee Graham Jr, who’s a convicted felon, tried to run away after they pulled him over last month. Officers reportedly found him in possession of a gun, and say a search of his vehicle turned up marijuana and meth. Graham was initially indicted in district court, but those charges have been dropped now that federal charges have been filed. He’s scheduled to go to trial on September 24th.

Project Developer Involved in Red River Flood Control Project Files New Disputes
A project developer involved in Fargo’s $3.2 billion Red River flood control project is escalating disputes with the city’s Flood Diversion Authority, fighting regulations banning certain structural materials. The Red River Valley Alliance has reportedly submitted up to four new claims against the city, disputing the ban on epoxy-coated rebar in diversion channel structures. John Shockley, counsel for the Diversion Authority, says the developer is making aggressive claims that won’t hold up after review. Shockley and the city pointed to regulations in the contract that specify epoxy-coated rebar be used for structural integrity purposes. It’s likely the dispute will now head to informal arbitration board, and there’s a possibility of civil litigation.

Fargo Fire Department pulls vehicle from Red River
FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Fargo police and firefighters were called in to assist after a vehicle ran into trouble backing a boat into the river. It happened just before 2 PM Friday, July 26. The Fargo Police Department and Fargo Fire Department were dispatched to Dike East for a report of a water rescue for a vehicle that was backing a boat into the river.
