Family confirms missing man has been found dead in the Red River
FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Early Friday morning, a family member of Arthur Wiebe confirmed that his body had been pulled from the Red River. On Wednesday, the Moorhead Police Department pushed out that they needed the public’s help in finding Arthur. Police said that Arthur was last seen in the 4100 block of 34th Ave. S. in Moorhead on July 1st.
Osgood Elementary Administrator Cleared to Return to Work
A West Fargo area elementary school administrator is returning to his job after an investigation into physical altercations with students. Osgood Elementary Assistant Principal Joshua Dahl was placed on administrative leave after accusations of touching and aggressive grabbing of students. The West Fargo School District and state authorities performed an investigation. The report released this week says they found those accusations mostly valid and that Dahl violated policy, but that no abuse or negligence towards students was committed. In one incident, Dahl bruised a student who the district says was biting and punching him. The report also notes many students, faculty, and staff who are opposed to Dahl’s actions. He will be placed on an improvement plan and will return to Osgood Elementary this fall.

Today is America’s birthday, but you may not know that the 4th of July isn’t when the colonies declared independence from Britain. That happened two days earlier, in a vote by the Second Continental Congress on July 2, 1776. The Declaration of Independence document was then adopted on July 4. The celebrations tonight in Jamestown are capped off by the Fireworks Spectacular at the Speedway. The show begins around 10:30 after the races end.
