PARSONS, Kan. — The Parsons School District qualifies for a sweeping lunch program that includes every student at school. USD 503 now has the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) designation. In other words, they can offer a free breakfast and lunch to every student regardless of income. There’s an extensive application process through federal and state authorities to prove they have at least 25 percent enrollment who qualify under free and reduced guidelines.

The 7-member Bonner Springs Planning Commission voted unanimously on July 16 to approve the requested amendment to the Comprehensive Plans Future Land Use Map.
