A Slew of Spooky Events are Coming to Connecticut This Summer
Scary movie fans and paranormal enthusiasts of Connecticut, do you need a chill in the air to enjoy your scary movies and ghost stories? The summertime is just as creepy and mysterious. There's a slew of spooky events happening around here leading up to Halloween, and if you like your entertainment a bit on the spooky side, here are a few coming up.

Chicopee woman killed in Hartford hit-and-run crash remembered for her compassion
A Chicopee woman who was killed in late June in a hit-and-run crash in Hartford was an experienced nurse who cared for every person she treated, according to her obituary. Lutricia “Trish” Daniels, 40, was born on May 18, 1984, to the late James Wade Daniels Jr. of Brookhaven, Mississippi and Diane Guadeloupe of Springfield, Massachusetts, according to her obituary. She carried a sense of community throughout her life, it stated.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch composer Stephen Trask and Tony-nominated Stereophonic music director and orchestrator Justin Craig are teaming up for a concert and discussion July 14 at Evans Hall at Connecticut College. New leadership conducts 60th anniversary Railroad Days
NORTH CANAAN — A cherished summer tradition of the Northwest Corner makes its comeback on July 7, marking the 60th celebration of Railroad Days. Highlighting Spring Academic Success, SCSU Owls Place 284 On NE10 Academic Honor Roll
Southern Connecticut State University Athletics & Recreation featured 284 student-athletes placed on the Northeast-10 Conference Spring 2024 Academic Honor Roll. Of the 284 student-athletes, 40 received Academic Excellence recognition after registering a 4.00 grade-point average for the Spring semester. The Owls also had 147 student-athletes finish with a GPA of 3.50 to 3.99 and were recognized with Academic Distinction honors. The remaining 97 student-athletes received Academic Honors with a GPA from 3.00 to 3.49.
