Four Y’alls make All-Star game
The Florence Y’alls earned four selections for the 2024 Frontier League All-Star Game that takes place in Quebec, Canada on July 17. The Y’alls will send outfielders TJ Reeves and Hank Zeisler, catcher Sergio Gutierrez and third baseman Brian Fuentes to the game. Reeves and Zeisler were announced as starters for the West Division and Gutierrez and Fuentes will fill in as reserves.
Blacktop Basketball League returns in August
A year removed from their 30th season, the Blacktop Basketball League gets back in action in August. Games begin on Aug. 12 with the season running through Oct. 17 at Silver Lake Park in Erlanger. Gamedays are Monday-Thursday. The league is open to boys and girls teams from grades 3-8.

Downtown Louisville skyscraper repossessed after defaulting on $28 million loan
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A judge recently placed a Louisville skyscraper in a receivership after its owners defaulted on a $28 million loan, according to new court documents. A lawsuit was filed in June by lender Wilmington Trust National Association in Jefferson County Circuit Court, and accused the owners of the Meidinger Tower of failing to make a monthly payment of $142,204.82 last November. The plaintiffs also claim the owners have not made a payment in any subsequent month.
