On Wednesday, Governor Kathy Hochul stood outside of a church in Rome, NY for a press conference to declare a State of Emergency after the storm system that produced Hurricane Beryl passed through the state and left scars of destruction in communities like the Town of Eden. The White House has made an open call for the legal community to provide assistance with immigration and asylum cases, as the backlog of cases remains at historical records.
