Did Texas ban cities from mandating that businesses provide heat and water breaks for workers?

A state law passed in June 2023 prevents local governments in Texas from mandating businesses implement practices, such as employment leave and breaks, that exceed or conflict with federal or state law for employers. The bill went into effect on Sept. 1, 2023, even after a state district judge called it unconstitutional.
Indiana and Illinois Arby’s Locations Affected by Franchisee Bankruptcy
After filing for bankruptcy, a small Arby's franchisee is selling some locations and closing others. Miracle Restaurant Group LLC, a company based out of Louisiana has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. There will be a 20% to 40% chance of scattered showers and some storms going into the early morning hours.
