This time one week ago the Iowa Hawkeye women’s wrestling program was already in what one would have to consider to be a pretty darn good spot entering the 2024-25 season. Fresh off their first team National Championship – in their first official year of competition no less – the Hawkeyes were looking to defend their title with a roster that returned 10 All-Americans, seven of whom were 2024 national finalists (including four individual champions).

Miracle League Of Dubuque Baseball Extravaganza On Tuesday
The Miracle League of Dubuque is getting ready to host an all-inclusive baseball tournament next week. The tournament will be on Tuesday and begin at 10 in the morning at the Miracle League Complex in Dubuque and include teams from Dubuque and Sioux City in Iowa and also a team from South Hills, Pennsylvania. The tournament will then shift to the iconic Field of Dreams in Dyersville where games will be played that evening.

Two people shot in Iowa City, triggering UI Hawk Alert
IOWA CITY, Iowa — Iowa City Police say two people are recovering after both were shot early Saturday morning. Officers were called to the 100 block of S. Dubuque Street just before 1:00am. Hawkeyes Earn AVCA Team Academic Award
IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa volleyball program earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award, the organization announced on Wednesday. The Hawkeyes have been recognized for this honor twice, previously in 2014. To obtain the honor, the team must maintain a year-long GPA of at least 3.30.
