It's easy to say that the 2024 Iowa Hawkeyes will go as quarterback Cade McNamara goes. If he has a strong season, there is little standing in the Hawkeyes' way of a 10-win season and a shot at the playoffs. If he doesn't, the same frustrations of yesteryear will no doubt persist.
Intense night of racing at Davenport Speedway
The final night of racing at Davenport Speedway before the Mississippi Valley Fair is usually an intense one, such was the case again this season. For the first time this year, the Outhouse and Storage to Go Container Rentals IMCA Late Model class had a back-to-back feature winner. Evan Miller started in the fourth row and would not see the lead until lap twenty-two of the main. Once in front, Miller pulled away and ended with a 1.323 second advantage over second place Jesse Bodin.

The Iowa Hawkeye football team has done some in-house renovating. The Hawkeyes will enjoy a brand new locker room setup this upcoming football season and if you haven't seen the latest home decor yet...this setup looks amazing. Football teams and players spend a lot of time in their home locker rooms preparing for games, putting on their equipment, visiting the training staff, getting taped up for games, or simply hanging out with their teammates before and after games.
Kids swim, bike and run in DeWitt youth triathlon
Kids from six to 15 years old competed Friday in a youth triathlon in DeWitt. It’s part of the DeWitt Crossroads Triathlons.
