Interactive Resource Center to remain open despite delay in city funding
A Greensboro day center that provides services for the homeless announced Thursday it will continue to remain open despite a delay in city funding. The Interactive Resource center will continue to maintain its 24/7 operations through Aug. 5. The announcement comes after the Greensboro City Council voted to delay approving $300,000 in funding to the nonprofit at a recent meeting as the organization has faced scrutiny in recent months.

RICHMOND, Va. (July 19, 2024) – Five CAA Football players and one head coach are among a distinguished group of 178 nominees for the 2024 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team. Student-athlete nominees from CAA Football are Elon junior safety Caleb Curtain, North Carolina A&T senior defensive end Henry Daniel, Delaware graduate offensive lineman Brock Gingrich, Richmond senior linebacker Wayne Galloway and William & Mary senior offensive tackle Charles Grant. North Carolina A&T head coach Vincent Brown is one of 11 coach nominees.
Greensboro Volleyball Earns AVCA Team Academic Award
Greensboro, NC – The Greensboro Volleyball team has been named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award list. Teams named to this list maintained a team GPA of 3.3-4.0 during the 2023-2024 academic year. According to the ACVA, “More than 1,400 collegiate and high school volleyball programs maintained a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale), to earn the award for their classroom excellence during the recently completed academic year.” For full details, click here.
