Randolph County Sheriff's Office investigates fatal shooting on Pisgah Road
ASHEBORO, N.C. — One man is charged with murder for killing a man he lived with, according to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said they responded to the fatal shooting on Pisgah Road in Asheboro on the morning of Friday, July 19. There, deputies found the victim, Daniel John Jarrell, shot on the scene. They said the suspect, Joshua Eric Sanders, was also still on the scene.

CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. — A Catawba County mother is charged with murder in connection with the death of her 9-month-old daughter, investigators said. The Catawba County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a suspicious person in the area of Section House Road around 5 a.m. on Friday, July 12.
