Following Saturday's last-second 24-21 upset to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in the Aer Lingus College Football Classic from Dublin, Ireland, college football fans have rushed to social media to roast the No. 10-ranked Florida State Seminoles for their loss.

The Seminoles, who are entrenched in a lawsuit filed against the ACC about potential exit fees, entered Saturday's season opener with a chip on their shoulder following the program's exclusion from last year's College Football Playoff.

Florida State started two-time transfer quarterback DJ Uiagalelei, who finished the game going 19-of-27 with 193 passing yards but did not look like the quarterback that Seminoles fans had hyped him up to be.

One fan wrote that Uiagalelei's performance is why results may vary when getting players from the transfer portal.

Another fan referenced a scene from the movie Moneyball by saying the Seminoles quarterback has the size, skill, and build of an elite offensive weapon but cannot throw the ball downfield effectively.

NBC Sports' college football reporter Nicole Auerbach poked fun at the Seminoles' ongoing lawsuit against the ACC by stating Florida State is preparing to sue the Republic of Ireland.

Even ActionNetwork's college football reporter Brett McMurphy got in on the jokes by sharing a new fact that no team suing to leave its own conference has ever won a season opener in Ireland.

For a program that made significant complaints about not being included in last season's CFB following an undefeated regular season, the loss to Georgia Tech will sting as the program's credibility is certainly going to take a hit.

The Seminoles return home to Tallahassee on Sept. 2 when they welcome another ACC foe in the Boston College Eagles to Doak S. Campbell Stadium. That contest is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. ET start on ESPN.
