Kent State is coming off an even worse season than Pitt dealt with, but it was a total rebuild - really, there was nothing in place for head coach Kenni Burns to work with.
A win is coming next week against Saint Francis before collecting paychecks from Tennessee and Penn State.

The passing game should be interesting with a stunningly loaded group of receivers. Several of them should’ve been plucked by bigger teams, but Chrishon McCray is back as one of the MAC’s most dangerous playmakers, and he’s not alone.
Pitt always has issues in the secondary, and it’s been better recently, and this year should be … interesting. The corners are really, really green, and the Golden Flashes will test them.
