After a rough season, Cincinnati should be much better and much sharper. The first part of the season isn’t bad, but it needs this warm-up over Towson to get rolling.
The Tigers weren’t awful last season, but they have to show some offensive pop right away to keep up the pace.

Why Towson Will Win
The lines are okay.
There might not be a huge running game, but the offensive front should once again be good at keeping defenses out of the backfield. The Towson defensive line has the aggressiveness to be disruptive.
As long as there aren’t a ton of turnovers, and if it can control the clock a bit, it should be able to keep this close for a bit. However …

Cincinnati might still need plenty of work, but the offensive line should be one of the team’s biggest strengths.
All five spots on the Bearcat front are experienced and strong, and it should be able to blast away on a Towson defense that had a very, very hard time holding up against the run.
There won’t be anything fancy about this. The Bearcats are going to start grinding from the start and ease in all the new wide receivers. It’ll be tough for Towson to generate enough pressure to matter, so …
