Why Kennesaw State Will Win
The team will be far better this season, even if the competition is a whole lot tougher.
The defensive front should be the star right away with good looking rotation and a good pass rush to get excited about. UTSA might need a little bit to get the offensive line together, and it’ll take even longer for the new skill spots to rise up. If the Owl pass rush can get going right away, this might be interesting.
Why UTSA Will Win
Kennesaw State is still trying to put it all together. It might get a ton of good parts back that didn’t do much last year, but offense still needs to find some pop, and the downfield passing game has to emerge.
As long as the Roadrunners can hold up against the run, it should be fine. They were 0-3 when giving up 200 rushing yards or more, and 9-1 when they didn’t. Kennesaw State won’t run for 200 yards.

Kennesaw State will be okay. It won’t be able to take advantage of enough opportunities to pull this off, but it’ll hang around into the second half. A UTSA team with something to prove will get sharper late with the lines taking over.
