The Golden Eagles will once again be great at getting into the backfield. For all the problems and issues last season, they were wonderful at hitting the quarterback and helping the offense control the clock. Middle Tennessee isn’t totally starting over, but this is the team’s tune-up game. Tennessee Tech has to make this a fight.

Middle Tennessee should be able to get into the Golden Eagle backfield. Tennessee Tech might have the pass rush, but it’ll have a problem holding down the Blue Raider defense that will bring the pressure from all sides. Mason knows how to coach up a defense, and the pass rush that was missing all last year should emerge in a hurry.
