Western Michigan gave Wisconsin a whole world of trouble - the Broncos were leading in the fourth quarter. It’s a better MAC team than Akron.

How did the Broncos hang around with Wisconsin as long as they did?
The line held up against the Badger ground game, the secondary didn’t give up too many big plays, its own passing attack was able to capitalize on a few big breaks and hit on enough midrange throws to keep things moving.

Yes, the defense came up with two touchdowns, and yes, the final score was great, but after a half the team looked the part to quiet the naysayers.
Will Howard was more than fine as the new starting quarterback, Smith really was that good, and the O line pounded away for over five yards per carry.
It might sound crazy compared to Wisconsin, but the Buckeyes should be able to blast away on the Broncos better than the Badgers could.

The offense will be business-like and effective, and some will still find things to complain about even with the balance overwhelming the Broncos in the second quarter.
