Missouri vs Buffalo Prediction, Game Preview, and Betting Lines

    2024-09-06

Missouri flexed right out of the gate with a 28-point first quarter in the 51-0 win over Murray State.

Suddenly, though, the schedule that looked so easy to start the season might be a bit challenging with Boston College and an interesting Vanderbilt team to follow.

Buffalo will collect the paycheck, but it’s well coached and has a few decent players. Pete Lembo won his first game as the new head main with a 30-13 victory over Lafayette.

    Why Buffalo Will Win

Buffalo can’t keep up the scoring pace if Missouri gets off to a hot start, but it should be able to grind just a little bit and slow things down to a bit of a crawl at times. That’s not how it’ll like to play this season, but in this it might be a must.

Again, there won’t be a slew of explosive plays, but the running game has a deep group of backs and QB CJ Ogbonna can move.

    Why Missouri Will Win

It was just Missouri State, but Mizzou looked amazing.

The Tigers were midseason sharp from the start. The ground game could’ve been a bit more explosive, but that’s really, really nitpicking.

Quarterbacks Brady Cook and Drew Pyne weren’t touched, and they took target practice. Buffalo has a decent pass rush, but it won’t do enough to be a bother.

Missouri vs Buffalo: Who Will Win

Missouri will keep it all going.

It’s not going to rub it in, and the defense will be strong enough to keep the offense from having to keep bombing away, but for the second straight week, the depth will be on display in the fourth quarter.
