The SEC was all over the place in Week 1.
It took out the FCS games in brutal blowout fashion - seriously, Mississippi State beating Eastern Kentucky 56-7 was the closest of the seven.
For the most part, it ripped up the Group of Five schools - Alabama over WKU, Oklahoma over Temple, Texas over Colorado State, Kentucky over Southern Miss - and then there was Georgia, who stood alone as the lone SEC team with a dominant performance over a good team (Clemson).
South Carolina win, but it struggled against Old Dominion, and Vanderbilt gets all the credit in the world for shocking Virginia Tech. And then ...
Texas A&M, LSU, and really, really Florida, all failed. Two were at home, one was a neutral site, and all three were tough losses.
This week, the spotlight is all on SEC newbie Texas and what it can do in Ann Arbor, but there are several other interesting SEC matchups, too.
From Arkansas vs Oklahoma State early in the day, to the SEC battle between South Carolina and Kentucky in the middle, to Tennessee vs NC State in primetime, to Mississippi State to Arizona State late, the SEC is on display.
