Here’s all that really mattered about the Kansas State whacking of UT Martin - Avery Johnson looked fine.

The young quarterback misfired a little bit - he threw a pick - but he moved well, DJ Giddens and the ground game averaged over nine yards per carry, and the offense really did use this game to get the timing down.

The defensive front should be able to bother the Tulane backfield. The Green Wave have to run to win, and they’re about to have a hard time doing that.

New head coach Jon Sumrall is just that good, and he has his team up to speed right away.
