Alabama vs Wisconsin Prediction, Game Preview, and Betting Lines

Alabama and Wisconsin opened up the 2015 season in Jerry World in Arlington, Texas. The Badgers played well, but they couldn’t handle some Derrick Henry guy in a 35-17 loss to the eventual national champion.
These two played one other time - a 15-0 Wisconsin win back in 1928.
This time around, it’s one of the most interesting games of the season.
Can Wisconsin overcome a mediocre start and make a big statement in the Luke Fickell era, or will this be the moment when Alabama starts to look and play like a possible national title contender in its first real test.

It took WAY too much to get past a Western Michigan team that got obliterated by Ohio State last week, and it required a fight to get by South Dakota from the FCS.
What’s going wrong?
The Badgers can’t get the downfield passing game going even a little bit. Miami transfer quarterback Tyler Van Dyke isn’t hitting anything big, the running game hasn’t been good enough to make up for it, and unlike past Badger teams, the time of possession battle isn’t a plus.
This isn’t the Wisconsin team you’re used to. It’s not physical enough, and now it has to go against an Alabama defense that’s dominating in the secondary - even with a game against a high-powered WKU team - and it doesn’t have the pop to keep up with the explosion of the Kalen DeBoer attack.

Why Wisconsin Will Win
Have the Badgers been playing it close to the vest?
They didn’t let it rip in the first two games, and while no one is saying anything, it’s as if they’ve been waiting for this to show what they can do.
Alabama didn’t have to break much of a sweat against WKU to start the season, and last week it took a ton of work to push through against USF. It was a 42-16 final score, but it was 14-13 in the fourth quarter before the offense finally opened it up.
Wisconsin can’t get into a firefight. It needs the same unfocused performance from Bama is brought to the USF game, losing three fumbles and getting hit for 13 penalties.
That, and this is the first time this season the Crimson Tide have to deal with a blasting offensive front. But …
Alabama vs Wisconsin: Who Will Win
Jalen Milroe. The Alabama quarterback wasn’t needed too much in the WKU win, he kicked it in against USF, and on the year the big bombing passer has yet to throw a pick, and he has yet to crank up his ground game ability, even with four rushing scores.
The early start matters. Camp Randall Stadium will be rocking, it’ll take about a quarter for the student section will fully file in. By that time, Bama will be up enough on two great opening drives, and Wisconsin’s offense won’t have an answer.
The Badger passing game won’t be good enough.
