This is sheer vanity run amok. This has been my go-to pick on every radio hit I’ve done this week, and I can’t back away now.
To be honest, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Missouri pulls off a brilliant performance and stuffs this, but so far the Boston College offensive front has been wonderful, Bill O’Brien’s running game has been a killer and Mizzou hasn’t played anyone yet.
Kent State has been awful - Pitt put up 55 on this bunch - but it’s also got enough of a passing game to put up some late points.
Tennessee will take it easy with Oklahoma up next, but that also might mean it scores 35 in the first half, throw another 14 on the board in the second half, and Kent State accounts for a few late scores against the twos to squeak you through.
Or the Vols put up 63 all by themselves, just because.
I know, I know, at some point Oregon will go all Oregon and everything will be right with the world, but has this team looked right to you in weird wins over Idaho and Boise State?
Oh sure, the Ducks will win, but this is dangerous. It’s a home game for a disrespected Oregon State program that will make this its national championship. It’ll give it the old college try before Oregon takes over late.
This one probably shouldn’t be this high - I missed the top two picks last week.
Michigan could get out of this 45-0, or it could go through the motions and win without breathing hard with a lower score.
The offense hasn’t clicked yet, but Arkansas State has enough pop to add a score or two, and so far this year the D allowed 31 to Central Arkansas and 24 to Tulsa.
I’m believing more that Michigan makes a statement after the Texas embarrassment. It puts up 48 and we get home in time for supper.

1. Jacksonville State at Eastern Michigan

Eastern Michigan’s offense hasn’t done a thing this season. It couldn’t do much against UMass in a 28-14 win, and it scored a grand total of nine points against Washington.
Jacksonville State scored 27 against Coastal Carolina, and 14 against Louisville.

Coastal Carolina put up 55. Louisville hung up 49. Eastern Michigan can’t do that, but it can put up 34, the Jax State O will good for about 20 with a few big dashes, and there we are.
