Colorado vs UCF Prediction, Game Preview, and Betting Lines

These two are a heck of a lot of fun.
UCF is 3-0 coming off a thrilling comeback win over TCU. It has a trip to Florida up next, but first it has to deal with a Colorado team that might not be all that great, but 3-1 is 3-1.
It took a miraculous play - which isn’t fair; Shedeur Sanders threw a rope - to force overtime against Baylor in an improbable win. With Kansas State and a trip to Arizona to follow, winning this is big on several levels.
The downfield stuff probably won’t work in the elements, and that’s where Shedeur Sanders has to come in with the short-to-midrange throws to get things moving.
It’ll be about decision-making, a few yards after the catch, and controlling the tempo of this from the start, and 2 can do that.
It might not be pretty, but the Buffaloes have to do everything possible to keep that UCF offense off the field, and it will help in a really, really big way that UCF doesn’t bring any sort of a steal pass rush. But …
Why UCF Will Win
UCF is rested, ready, and it has the ground game that should work in the rain and slop that’s expected to show up.
Colorado’s defensive front has been better this year. It’s not great, but it’s not getting gouged. It hasn’t faced anything like this, though.
UCF has run 54 times or more in all three games, it’s averaging a nation-leading 376 yards per game, and it should be set up perfectly for a game like this in the expected conditions.
It also helps that Colorado really, really can’t run - even with the three touchdowns against Baylor.
Colorado vs UCF: Who Will Win
Really, just how much will Helene matter?
It’s supposed to hot, humid, and rainy in the middle of the afternoon. There will probably be a weather delay or three, but even if it’s sunny and 65 out - which it won’t be - UCF will run wild on this Buffalo defensive front.
UCF will only seem like it has the offense on the field all game long.
