Why Louisiana Will Win

The offense has a nice balance starting with a strong first part of the year from the line.

The Ragin’ Cajuns don’t allow a ton of plays behind the line, they’ve been solid for the ground game, and the defense is doing its part.

It struggled with the Tulane ground game, but that’s not a big concern against a Demon Deacon team that isn’t great on the ground. However …

Why Wake Forest Will Win

It’s not that Wake Forest doesn’t try to run the ball.

It was effective against North Carolina A&T, and couldn’t move against Virginia or Ole Miss. Running against Louisiana will be somewhere in the middle.

Even though the offense and QB Hank Bachmeier will start throwing it around from the start, the game plan will also fold in around 40 carries.

Don’t stray from the ground game, and eventually it’ll start to break through in this.

It’s been a rough run so far for the Wake Forest defense, but playing Ole Miss has something to do with that.

The D won’t get into the backfield enough, but the offensive balance will take over in a tight game that will start to break open early in the fourth.
