Georgia vs Mississippi State Prediction, Game Preview, and Betting Lines

    The Georgia rehabilitation project continues.

The Alabama loss looks a tad worse after the Tide’s faceplant against Vanderbilt, Georgia went about its business disposing of Auburn, shouldn’t have a problem here, and then …

At Texas, Florida in the Party, at Ole Miss, Tennessee. So, basically, if the Dawgs have any more tuning up to do, this is the final chance to do it.

Mississippi State is looking for a spark - and its first win of the year against an FBS team. It’ll be a large underdog against everyone but UMass the rest of the way, and now it’s time to see what the program has in place for the future under Jeff Lebby.

    Why Mississippi State Will Win

    Just start firing away.

Georgia’s defense got picked apart by Jalen Milroe, who hit 82% of his throws for 374 yards, Auburn got to 200 yards, and even in a wipeout Clemson’s Cade Klubnik wasn’t bad.

Mississippi State’s Michael Van Buren has yet to throw a touchdown pass - he took over for an injured Blake Shapen - but he’s young, he’ll let it rip, and he should put a little pressure on the Dawg secondary if the team isn’t fully focused. However …

    Why Georgia Will Win

Mississippi State’s lines haven’t been good - to be nice about it.

The pass protection is non-existent, the pass rush isn’t there, and there’s no run defense against anyone willing to try.

Texas, Florida, and Arizona State all rumbled for well over six yards per carry, and Georgia probably won’t be too cute here. It ran a season-high 37 times against Auburn, and it should get well into the 40s in this.

This is the game to get it back - the Dawgs haven’t hit four yards per carry in any of the three SEC games so far.

Georgia vs Mississippi State: Who Will Win

Georgia is overdue for a muscle flex.

It was fine against Auburn, but that was more workmanlike. This is where the lines take over, the power running game will be great from the start, and there won’t be any drama against a Mississippi State team looking to make this interesting into the second half.
