It’s been a weird season for both strong programs with new coaches.

Wyoming finally got its first win under Jay Sawvel with a strong performance against Air Force.

The defense has been shockingly off so far, but the offense finally went off with its biggest explosion of the season - it was the first time it hit 300 yards so far with 361 yards.

Three of the next four games are on the road - it needs to at least win all the 50/50 games the rest of the way.

San Diego State is supposed to have the offensive powerhouse under new head man Sean Lewis, but it’s been sputtering and coughing so far.

It should’ve beaten Central Michigan and slipped by Hawaii, and it’s about to get tough fast with Washington State and a trip to Boise State up next.

San Diego State vs Wyoming: Who Will Win

Can San Diego State keep the penalties in check? It had one game with fewer than eight and got hit with more than 100 yards in three of the five games. As long as it can play a relatively clean game, it has a chance.

The Aztec defense has been the star at times with a great pass rush and a whole slew of tackles for loss. Wyoming, even with the big game against Air Force, has the second-worst offense in America, but it’ll still stay in the game until late.

San Diego State has a way of screwing things up, but it’ll survive a late drive in this.
