Notre Dame vs Georgia Tech Prediction, Game Preview, and Betting Lines

Notre Dame keeps getting hit with major injuries - losing star CB Benjamin Morrison for the season with a hip injury - but it has to keep fighting through.
The College Football Playoff is very much on the table, but the team has to keep its great performances rolling.
It won four straight since the loss to Northern Illinois, and the rest of the schedule is tougher than it might seem - Navy, Florida State, Virginia, Army, USC - and this might be the scariest of the bunch.
Georgia Tech pulled off wins over Duke and North Carolina to get back in the ACC race, and now it gets really fun. Notre Dame is a blast of a chance to make a huge statement, and then it get Virginia Tech on the road, Miami at home, NC State, and a trip to Georgia.
Beating Notre Dame would be great, but locking in bowl eligibility before that brutal finishing kick would be massive.

Why Notre Dame Will Win
Run, run, run.
I say this every week when it comes to Notre Dame, but if you can run like this bunch can, you do it, you keep doing it, and you control the clock and the narrative even if it doesn't work early.
Forgive the repeat from last several Notre Dame game previews, but it holds true. It ran 28 times in the loss to Northern Illinois. It ran 31 times against Louisville and had a fight in a 31-24 win.
When the Irish run 34 times or more, it wins by double-digits. Only one team ran 34 times against Georgia Tech. It was last week, and North Carolina cranked up 201 yards, but ... Georgia Tech got hammered on by North Carolina and still won.
Georgia Tech got a mediocre day out of QB Haynes King, and still won.
King is out hurt, Zach Pyron is in, and he'll need the time to operate. And he'll get it.
The Yellow Jacket offensive line is No. 1 in the nation in fewest sacks allowed. It has to keep Pyron - who's not King, but he's experienced - the turnovers aren't coming with the O giving up just two so far on the year, and the Morrison-less Irish secondary is about to be pressed hard.
Notre Dame vs Georgia Tech: Who Will Win
Even without King, Georgia Tech is a problem for Notre Dame.
The Irish have faced Texas A&M's Conner Weigman and Louisville's Tyler Shough. They can handle Pyron, even with the weakened seconary.
Georgia Tech will get hammered on by the Notre Dame ground game, and the D won't generate enough takeaways to stop the momentum.
This should be a thriller in Mercedes-Benz Stadium that will battle-harden the Irish that much more.
