PGPD’s post on the X platform said the closure of Adelphi Road applied to foot and vehicular traffic.

Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department said in its own post that an outdoor gas line may have ruptured in the area of the 3500 block of University Blvd.

PGPD provided an update at 11:14 a.m. , saying eastbound University Boulevard was down to one lane and asked people to use alternate routes on Baltimore Avenue or East West Highway.

At 3:19 p.m. , the police department posted that all roads reopened.
