Three golfers make SLC All-Academic teams Image

FRISCO — Texas A&M University-Commerce golfers Chance Mulligan, Benz Far-Arun, and Jordan Dusckas are named to the Southland Conference All-Academic teams.
On the women's side, Far-Arun was named to the first team and Dusckas was honored on the second team, while on the men's side, Mulligan was named to the second team.
Mulligan made the Dean's List, has been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team and posted two top 15 finishes last season, including tying for 15th at the conference championships. Mulligan graduated with a degree in business administration.
Far-Arun was named the SLC Women's Golfer of the Month twice, named to Second-Team All-Conference, on the Dean's List and was named to the Academic All-SLC team last year as well. Last season, she won one individual medal and recorded eight top 15 finishes. Far-Arun graduated last month with a degree in psychology.
Dusckas is a marketing major, having been named to Second-Team All-Conference as well. She also made the Dean's List, while recording three top 25 finishes last season, including a seventh-place finish at the SLC Championships.
The All-Academic Teams are voted on by a head coach, sports information director and an academic/compliance staff member from each Southland Conference institution. Student-athletes must possess a 3.25 cumulative GPA and complete one full academic year at the nominating institution to qualify for All-Academic selection.
Student-Athlete of the Year nominees must have earned at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale and demonstrate athletics achievement for at least two years at the nominating institution.
