Surf’s Up: New Water Parks Flood the Valley
Despite the state’s water woes, new water parks and resort water attractions will soon flood the Valley. By rights, Phoenix should be the big kahuna in water parks. After all, we did have the first inland surfing facility in North America with Big Surf (see sidebar). Our lingering summers provide outdoor water parks the perfect climate for longer operating seasons.

New semiconductor apprenticeship hopes to bolster local workforce
(The Center Square) – Intel is starting up a workforce development program with some help of the state of Arizona in order to bolster the state's growing semiconductor industry.
