My journey to WYLD was an adventure in itself, winding through mountain roads and passing through multiple security gates. Despite the nearby ski resort having limited trail openings, the restaurant buzzed with energy. From the moment we indulged in their delightful bread and butter, I knew this place was special. The food here is a blend of comfort and high-quality craftsmanship. The Thanksgiving dinner was a refined take on traditional dishes, featuring apple wormwood soup and a classic turkey with cranberry sauce that was simply exquisite.
The menu offered some surprising delights as well. The tuna aguachile was bursting with freshness, and the duck carnitas were so generously portioned that we had leftovers to enjoy the next day. I ventured into new territory with the poached lobster and was absolutely blown away by its perfection. Not to forget, the desserts turned each bite into a playful adventure, trying to grab a bit of everything.
The ambiance was enhanced by live music that connected seamlessly with the lively atmosphere of the place. Each dish, from the unique blue corn mushroom entree to the sweet potato dish, was superb, balancing flavors in the most interesting ways. WYLD is not just a meal; it’s a culinary journey that I can’t wait to embark on again.
