Stepping into Kiki's Japanese Casual Dining feels like visiting a cozy, cluttered Japanese mom's kitchen. The place might remind you of dining in your grandmother's attic, with its quaint and nostalgic decor, but it's the heartwarming, authentic Japanese food that truly stands out. From the Century Egg Tofu to the Japanese Fried Chicken and the Spicy Miso Beef Ramen, each dish offers a taste of Japan right here in Denver. Although the Sukiyaki Beef's soup was a tad salty for my liking, the overall experience was delightful. The menu is vast, featuring not just your typical sushi or ramen but also lesser-known gems like katsudon, ichiro bowl, and a variety of udons. The curry udon came highly recommended and did not disappoint, providing a comforting, flavorful meal. Despite the need for a bit of a tidy up to enhance the dining experience, Kiki's charm lies in its simplicity and the genuine hospitality of the family running it. The attentive service and quick arrival of dishes add to the appeal, making it a must-visit for anyone craving traditional Japanese fare. I'm already planning my next visit to try the eel rice and sashimi!
