(Pueblo, Colorado) The Pueblo Zoo has a terrific offer for individuals aged 65 and older - free admission.

From September 8th through the 14th, senior citizens will receive free admission to the 25-acre animal park during Senior Week.

The Pueblo Zoo has over 420 animals, including red pandas, lemurs, penguins, American bison, and gibbons.

The zoo was built during the Great Depression by workers hired through the Works Progress Administration (WPA), and there are historic relics throughout the property.

There will be a special event ( "Senior Safari") on Wednesday, September 11th, with vendor booths, live music, and activities. Go here for more information.
