    Power restored to customers near Palmer Park

    (COLORADO SPRINGS) — The outage has been resolved and power has been restored to all affected customers, according to Springs Utilities .

    ORIGINAL STORY: Large power outage near Palmer Park

    FRIDAY 5/17/2024 5:27 p.m.

    A large power outage was affecting more than 2,100 people on the northwest side of Palmer Park on Friday evening, May 17.

    Colorado Springs Utilities (Springs Utilities) posted about the outage just after 5 p.m. on Friday, and said 2,158 customers in the area of Austin Bluffs Parkway and North Union Boulevard were affected.

    The Springs Utilities Outage Map stated that the outage began around 4:40 p.m., though the number of affected customers has since dropped to 1,173 as of 5:23 p.m.

    Estimated time of restoration is currently 8:30 p.m.

    Drivers are reminded to always treat dark traffic lights as a four-way stop.
