(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The City of Colorado Springs announced on Monday, May 20, that it has launched a new AI-powered chatbot on its website.

The new chatbot is available on both desktop and mobile. AskCOS can be found at coloradosprings.gov.

AskCOS helps residents and visitors find information about City services faster, easier, and in a variety of languages. The newest tool provides online customer service 24/7 across all its web pages. The technology is powered by Citibot’s Generative Artificial Intelligence.

So far, the chat has assisted over 3,200 residents and provided more than 4,100 responses since its initial availability in April.

AskCOS’s knowledge is based on the city’s website to ensure results are relevant and verified, the tool doesn’t use any other website or search engine to generate responses. Currently, AskCOS is an informational tool and does not support service requests. Individuals are encouraged to use the GoCOS app or visit the website to submit requests.

For more information, individuals can ask questions at the city’s website linked above or text “hello” to (888) 814-6267.
