    719 Battle of the Food Trucks heating up for June 2

    (COLORADO SPRINGS) — The time to crown Colorado Springs’ best food truck for 2024 is just around the corner. On Sunday, June 2, the second annual 719 Battle of the Food Trucks will see 50 food trucks fire up their grills and serve their best dishes for the community to taste.

    Featured Food trucks include local favorites such as Creole Roots, La Tapatia Tacos, Solsage, The Saucy Pig, Tia Maggie’s Cocina, Springs Cupcake Truck, and more. A list of the trucks currently registered for the event can be seen on the battle’s Facebook Page .

    The event will feature the epic competition, where each food truck will serve up sample sizes of their most delicious menu item, plus lots of family-friendly activities, such as live music, games, a KidZone, face painting, a petting zoo, contests with prizes, and more.

    A Beer Garden by Bristol Brewing Company will be available to provide refreshments, and the Octane and Iron Car Show is included with the entry price.

    Local celebrity judges will include FOX21 News’ morning show anchor Abbie Burke, while evening show anchor, Taylor Bishop, will emcee. Guests can stop by the FOX21 tent to meet Burke and Bishop, take a selfie with Squatch, and get a free sticker.

    The event is from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $39.99 plus applicable fees for general admission, which includes eleven sampling tickets and three voting tickets, and $59.99 plus applicable fees for VIP admission, which includes eleven sampling tickets, three voting tickets, a discount parking code, access to a private VIP area with entertainment, one free beer per ticket, and a special event gift. Children under 7 are free.

    Tickets can be purchased at the Eventbrite website here and will be available at will-call on the day of the event, and will not be sent in advance, attendees must show a ticket barcode or proof of purchase to gain entry to the battle.

    10% of ticket sales and a portion of vendor sales will go directly to support Angels of America’s Fallen, a charity whose mission is to encourage and fund healthy positive activities for the children of fallen firefighters, military, and law enforcement.

    The 719 Battle of the Food Trucks takes place at “The Meanwhile Block” at 425 South Sierra Madre Street.
