City seeks feedback on 2024-2028 Strategic Plan draft

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The City of Colorado Springs is asking the public for their feedback on the vision for the city’s future.

The community can now share their thoughts on the 2024-2028 Strategic Plan draft. The plan shapes the future of the city and helps as a guide for the future. The document outlines Mayor Yemi Mobolade’s vision for the city’s long-term goals and priorities for the next four years, as well as the strategies and actions needed to achieve them.

The plan highlights five specific priorities: public safety, economic vitality, infrastructure, housing solutions, and community activation.

The survey can be found on the city’s website or at ColoradoSprings.gov/2024StrategicPlan . The public is welcome and able to review aspects of the strategic plan and provide comments.

“A city’s strategic plan is a shared vision for the entire community,” said City Strategic Plan Manager Courtney Brown. “It is a blueprint that guides the city’s future so it can thrive in ways that resonate with its residents. But to develop a plan that truly reflects the Colorado Springs community, we need to hear from residents. The strategic plan is already informed by several other community meetings, but this is another chance for residents to provide their voice before the plan is finalized.”

The survey will be available until Friday, June 14. The public is also able to attend either an in-person or a virtual meeting on Tuesday, June 11. The virtual meeting will be held at 11 a.m. while the in-person meeting will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Carmel Community School located at 1740 Pepperwood Dr.
