    Western Street Breakfast to kick off rodeo season in Colorado Springs

    (COLORADO SPRINGS) — A token presentation was held at the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum and served as the official invitation to the public for the 2024 Western Street Breakfast, which is set to take over Tejon Street on Thursday, June 20 from 5:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. in downtown Colorado Springs.

    The presentation began at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5, and was attended by several organizations and government entities including; City Council, County Commissioners, Fort Carson, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Patrol, the Girls of the West, and the Rangerettes, just to name a few.

    “We are lucky enough in Colorado Springs to be able to host the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo… and so that’s why we do [the Western Street Breakfast] every year, to promote western heritage and it is also a kick off to rodeo season,” said Travis Wiens, Co-Chair of the Western Street Breakfast.

    At the event on Wednesday, large commemorative tokens were presented to City and County Commissioner representatives.

    The Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo is scheduled for Tuesday, July 9 through Saturday, July 13 at the Norris Penrose Event Center.
