A 12-year-old and an 18-year-old have been arrested, and a third suspect is on the loose, following what authorities are calling a juvenile crime spree in unincorporated El Paso County Wednesday morning.

According to a news release sent from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, at approximately 3 a.m., the county communication center received a call regarding a business alarm at the Springs Armory on Waynoka Road in unincorporated El Paso County.

Deputies arrived at the scene to find an abandoned vehicle crashed into the front of the building.

According to investigators, surveillance video shows the vehicle crash into the front of the building. It also shows two suspects enter the building, before fleeing in a second vehicle parked behind the business.

A few hours later, at 8 a.m. a second call was received regarding a vehicle theft in Security-Widefield, authorities said.

Investigators connected the two reports because the suspect and vehicle descriptions matched the earlier incident.

Following multiple reports of the suspects seen in a local neighborhood, patrol deputies located the three individuals.

While all three suspects initially fled, a 12-year-old suspect was, "immediately caught."

"Through tireless tracking and coordination," deputies apprehended a second suspect, who has since been identified as 18-year-old Victor Prada Jr. He is being held on a $50,000 bond and is facing charges of second-degree burglary.

The third suspect evaded arrest, officials said.

According to the office, investigators uncovered the getaway car utilized in the overnight smash and grab, along with evidence from multiple similar crimes in the area.

Anyone with pertinent information about the case is asked to call the El Paso County Sheriff's Office at 719-520-7777.
