    Power outage affecting traffic signals in north COS

    (COLORADO SPRINGS) — Colorado Springs Utilities (Springs Utilities) reported on Monday evening, July 8 that power had been restored.

    According to the post on X (formerly known as Twitter), all customers affected by the outage had their power restored by 5 p.m.

    A power outage affected traffic signals and thousands of customers on Monday, July 8 in North Colorado Springs.

    According to Colorado Springs Utilities (Springs Utilities), it is currently working to restore power to over 3,000 customers in the area of Woodmen Road and Academy Boulevard.

    Springs Utilities reported the estimated restoration time is 7:10 p.m. on their website . They are currently working on restoring power.

    Springs Utilities is asking drivers to treat dark intersections as four-way stops and to drive safely.

    As for what caused the outage affecting thousands, Springs Utilities said troubleshooters are currently on-scene working to determine the cause of the outage.
