(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Northbound lanes of I-25 will temporarily close overnight on Thursday, July 18 between Mesa Ridge Parkway and South Academy Boulevard.

The closure will allow crews to remove barriers and striping to accommodate for new lane alignment that will go onto the newly constructed bridge over South Academy Boulevard. The northbound on-ramp from Mesa Ridge Parkway to I-25 will also be closed during this time.

The closure will begin on Thursday at 9 p.m. and last through 6 a.m. on Friday. A detour will be in place for drivers who need to head northbound:

    • Exit at Mesa Ridge Parkway (Exit 132), travel east to the CanAm Highway (US 85/87), turn north and continue to South Academy Boulevard, and turn west to re-enter I-25 at Mile Point 135.

A northbound off-ramp closure for Mesa Ridge Parkway is also planned for Wednesday, July 17, from 7 p.m. – 6 a.m. for crews to apply final pavement markings:

    • Traffic exiting at Mesa Ridge Parkway will continue north to South Academy Boulevard (MP 135), turn around and travel south to exit 132A
