Weather warnings were in effect for parts of east-central Colorado on Tuesday, July 16, as storms bringing heavy rain, wind, and hail hit the region, the National Weather Service (NWS) warned.

The NWS said a thunderstorm tracking over El Paso County on Tuesday afternoon was carrying 40 mph wind gusts and pea-sized hail.
