    UPDATE: Springs Utilities working on repairs of hit gas line

    (COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) said a little before 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17, that CSFD units had cleared the scene of a hit gas line in southeast Colorado Springs.

    According to CSFD, Colorado Springs Utilities responded to the scene at Bradley Road and Horizonview Drive and are working on repairs. CSFD said roads in the area may still be closed.

    The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) said multiple crews are at the scene of a hit gas line which has closed Bradley Road in all directions east of Marksheffel Road.

    CSFD posted to X (formally known as Twitter) a little after 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17 that multiple CSFD crews were on the scene of a hit gas line.

    CSFD said Bradley Road is closed in all directions at Horizonview Drive just east of Marksheffel Road in southeast Colorado Springs and for drivers to plan alternate routes.

    According to CSFD, a construction company reported they were excavating and hit the gas line.
