    2024-04-02

The mountain lifestyle festival will be at Palisades Tahoe this weekend April 5-7 with a full lineup of artists, beer, food, and activities. It could turn into a real winter wonderland festival with possible snow incoming.

“We are part music festival, part beer festival, and part family reunion. The event boasts four stages, three of which are under huge heated tents, a kids’ zone, food trucks, a VIP area, and a coffee bar,” says founder Scotty Stoughton.

The notable headliners include Sierra Ferrell, The Devil Makes Three, and The Infamous Stringdusters.

There will also be free shows and surprise guests performing at Olympic Valley Bar and The Plaza each night of the festival. The stages will be set in the parking lot by the Plump Jack Inn and Olympic Valley Lodge.

Here’s a lineup of the free shows you can catch.

    Thursday:
Kickoff show in the Palisades Tahoe Village Plaza, 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm.

    Friday-Sunday:
Pickin' In The Plaza shows at the Palisades Tahoe Village Plaza, 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm Thursday-Sunday.

    Saturday & Sunday:
Free On-Mountain Jams at Gold Coast Plaza (Ride the Tram to get to Gold Coast Plaza), 11:00 am-1:00 pm featuring Boot Juice and Caltucky.
Note: Valid lift ticket, sightseeing ticket or season pass required to attend.

Along with a plethora of artists, there is a long list of brewers and food trucks to keep you warm and happy.

If you’re coming in from out of town to stay and explore the festival, you can still capitalize on some discounted lift tickets for the whole weekend.

WinterWonderGrass started in Colorado in 2013, and it eventually made its way to California a couple years later where the festival was a hit and brought local vendors, non-profits, and artists together in a community style festival.

They’ve also expanded to RiverWonderGrass where they provide guided rafting trips on the Yampa River and Green River with intimate musical performances and jam sessions along the river.
