Benton, Ky., man arrested, charged in case of dog shot with pellet gun
BENTON, Ky. — The Benton Police Department has arrested a man in connection with the case of a dog shot with a pellet gun from a golf cart on Wednesday. According to the Benton Police Department, David Morris, 60, of Benton, turned himself in Thursday to the department. He was arrested and charged with torture of a dog or cat. The case is still an open investigation, according to the department.
Two kids injured in Stoddard Co ATV accident
STODDARD COUNTY, Mo (News First) – Two youngsters were injured Wednesday evening following an A.T.V. accident in Stoddard County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash took place on Stoddard County Road 702, a half mile east of Essex when a 2015 Polaris Ranger A.T.V. driven by a 12-year-old boy from Essex ran off the road and overturned, throwing the 12-year-old and his 15-year-old female passenger, also from Essex, off the 4-wheeler. The girl had moderate injuries and the boy had minor injuries. Both were taken to Mercy Hospital in Dexter.
